Jeevan Pramaan is a digital life certificate for retirees that is based on Aadhaar and has biometric authentication. Jeevan Pramaan, also known as a DLC, is produced for each individual pensioner based on his or her unique Aadhaar number and biometric information.
For JeevanPramaan (DLC), the pensioner need not appear before the Pension Disbursing Officer. DLC is available digitally and is automatically handled by the Pension Disbursing Agency (bank/post office). Every DLC has a Pramaan-Id.
Pramaan ID/Jeevan Pramaan isn’t permanent. The Pension Sanctioning Authority determines the certificate’s validity duration. After the validity time, a new JeevanPramaan Certificate (Pramaan Id) must be obtained.
